The wind torn settlement. Settlement in Magmoia | World Anvil

The wind torn settlement.

Settlement Name:    Who Lives there: The Ukari   What is the history of the settlement:    Population: 10,000   Ruler: When the devastation of the hurricane hit the original ruler had been swept into the winds and was never seen from again nor was the body ever recovered. Many assume that the Ruler was now food for the great phoenix.  The new ruler the daughter of the deceased ruler had taken it upon herself to create the settlement back from scratch while making the new rebuild stronger than the last with escape options. The previous settlement did not have below ground escapes where civilians could hide so many of the villagers died in the storm.    Cause of the mass destruction: A great and massive Hurricane created by one of the oldest and largest Wind Phoenix to ever live. Magical Hurricane that ripped the entire settlement up and tossed it into the air.    Who Rebuilt the settlement: The Daughter of the deceased ruler who died in the storm.    Resources needed for the rebuild: Trees from the red wind forest and stones from the Mines to the north. Buildings were made to withstand massive wind storms.    Was the settlement made larger or smaller: The settlement took time to rebuild as the population had to grow again from the massive loss of life. The rebuild inevitably made the kingdom grow as the buildings were some of the best in all the land.    Was any part of the rebuild inspired by the devastation (did they rebuild to make the settlement stronger in case the same thing happened?) Many basements were created as a means to hide from any vicious storms that might destroy the buildings above ground again. Elaborate underground buildings and tunnels were made so that they could withstand wind storms that lasted for longer than a few hours or even days.    The buildings were created stronger and smarter so that they would be more efficient at repelling the wind.
