Sai'Haine
The Sai'Haine are a race of Majan people located in the far north reaches. Normally taking little interest in the affairs of other clans, they have a long seated rivalry with the centuars.
Culture
The Haine culture is strongely based on religion. Individuals dedicate themselves to a diety when they come of age, and live in occordence with them. To go against their diety, or bring shame upon them is a great sin, and preists or seers often rule the community.
Public Agenda
The Haines generally avoid interfering with outsiders, remaining neutral on most matters. They consider themselves less Majan, and more Haine, and rarely contact the Council of Lakle. By others, they are seen as aloof and proud.
Assets
Among the wealthier clans, they get their riches from trade and occasional piracy, further inland, they also mine large amounts of metal ore. Trade is concentrated mostly in the city of Mnas Hiranuil.
History
The Haines have lived in the area for an uncountable number of years. Once, their land expanded over the east Ru'Didanin, and southward over parts of the plane, but the centuars claimed the plaines.
Demography and Population
The Sai'Haines' population is currently at roughly 10,000, though the exact number is unknown. The kingdom contains two major cities, though people are spread throughout the country, and islands, which spreads from the Elverhir Channel in the south to the northernmost point of Kanjan island, and easternmost coastline, to the eastern Ru'Didnanin mountain range in the west.
Military
The Haines maintain a small standing army, called the Uttal, which are trained in Daymaj, and magic. Beyond that, all sea Captains can be assembled into a navy under the He'Dyn's leadership. While not in wartime, these military ships can be hired out as merceniaries.
Technological Level
Though little emphasis is placed on science beyond shipbuilding and smithing, those two crafts are highly specialized to create the best metal alloyes and the fastest ships.
Religion
The Sai'Haines follow the Majan Pantheon, and form laws in occordence with it. Laws must be signed by the high priest, and if a court if priests finds a person guilty of dishonering their diety, they can be prosecuted. Several gods in the Pantheon are forbidden from worship. These include Angore, Sirane, and Lanvie.
Foreign Relations
Foreign relations are not officially kept, as the Haines prefer to remain on good terms with most people, as long as they don't infringe on their land. They maintain good relations through trade, though two notable enemies are the Centurion Tribes, and the Laklen Kingdom.
Agriculture & Industry
Agriculture is limited due permifrost in most of the country, so food is generated from hunting, livestock such as sheep, birds, and goats, and fishing. By the coastline, the biggest indutries are that of shipbuilding, trading, and fishing, and whale hunting. Further inland, mining is common, supplying iron, steel, coal, and gray slate rock.
Trade & Transport
Trade is conducted by sea, enriching Hainan sailors in port towns.
Education
Due to a stable econamy and government, Haine education is relatively edvanced. Children are taught to read and write both basic and Haine. They learn the history of their people, standard mathematics, and geopraphy.
Mythology & Lore
Though the Haines follow the Majan Pantheon, they beleive their country to be a refuge of the goddess Haine and the god Fandror. They beleive that the goddess holds a fortress underground in which she retreats in spring and the coming of Mirriopa. There, they beleive Haine stays with Uwayn, her secret lover, or the god of stone. Each winter, she leaves him to return to Fandror.
Cosmological Views
The Haines beleive in the common creation myth of Soj and Lakle.
Tenets of Faith
Tenents very depending on the individual, and the god or goddess they follow. For each diety in the pantheon, there are a set of commandments to live by. Sometimes, a god or goddess may claim a child at or before birth to become their worshipper. Followers of Laineth are often businessmen, or hunters, and enjoy a hedonistic lifestyle, viewing wealth as important, and hardwork as a path to happiness. Those who follow Atonell are sportsmen, and competitors, and enjoy the glory of a game of both physical and mental prowess. They enjoy fame, and fairness. Agea is the patron of artists, and they beleive in the importants of trivial and creative persuits in life as a way to ascend to the spiritual level. There are many others to follow, each with their own tenents.
Priesthood
Priests are those who have taken their worship to another level. After education, they go the the temple of their patron diety, and study as a priest in training, then once they become a priest, they devote themselves to the study of their diety, and the service that is required of them.

Merchants export products such as coal, metal, lumber, wool, whale oil, and fur to many lands throughout the world.
