BB's Diary #19
Aersday, 15th Shadow 212 EoL
Dear Diary,
after a year spent mostly in Sedem Lux with Drake and a month-long journey on a ship, the two of us finally arrived in Zathess. Another ship had arrived at the same time, and you'll never guess who got off... Gwenelle! I didn't believe my eyes, I was about to turn around and go back to Sedem Lux, but then it got even weirder! A portal in the sky opened and out fell Shirel with his mother, Yelena and my dear brother Trip. It was surreal! I was so very happy to see my brother again, I've missed him so much!
We quickly got together to the Wolfsden and talked about the year we spend apart. To my surprise Gwenelle is nice now, people in the Wolves know and like... even admire her... I really had to bite my tongue, to stay nice.
I told the others about my line of clothes and showed them some of my work. The first thing Trip did, was ridicule my work and thus myself in front of the others by copying my dresses. I was angry and sad. He doesn't seem to appreciate my work.
Well, after hearing what the "trio infernale" had been up to during the last year, my achievements might seem a bit slim. I still can't get everything together, but let me try: they stayed on Vrinn Island to search for Yelena's mother among the snakefolk. They did not find her, she is dead, I think. Somehow the snakefolk treated Yelena like a Goddess, but only because they wanted her blood, to resurrect some other God (I think). The group made up a plan to get out of there and Corellon helped them by letting it rain stars. And then our father came and took Corellon with him to meet the Lady of Pain. Later they met our former boss Ambition, whom they killed, and then a whole group of Gatekeepers came to avenge Ambition. Fortunately, they managed to teleport to Infernalis, where Shirel used to live. There they searched for the girl Shirel got pregnant and left some years ago. Girl and child are gone, but they found Shirel's mother, who was in prison and emaciated. They managed to free her and, again, to escape by teleporting.
During our stay, a creature came into the Den and handed us a letter from Gullitiklan of all people. We now know, that he managed to escape with us and survived up until now. At first, I was a bit proud of myself that I helped him escape, but soon I realized my mistake. Gulli has created some kind of cult, wants to take over the world, and make us live in an illusion. He offered us to meet him and join his cult. Trip and I thought about meeting him. Drake and Shirel hated that idea. I think Trip will contact him or spy on him tonight.
Today was such a crazy day. Let's see what tomorrow will bring. I now lay here next to Gwenelle and Yelena and wonder what Saldri is doing I hope we'll meet her really soon.

Dear Diary,
today was even weirder than yesterday. I don't even know where to begin...
First thing in the morning, Gwenelle, Yelena, and I talked about the last year. Gwenelle kept being nice and offering apple pie... I really don't know what to think about that. I gave them the dresses I made for them, which are part of my collection, and they seemed to like them :)
At breakfast, we decided to take a ferry to Ssenthix, where we are supposed to find a guide to get us to the sorcerer in the mushroom forest, who wants to talk to the dragonslayers (which btw seems to be our title now). Before taking the ferry though, some of us went into a magic shop. Neither I nor Shirel's mother Adah cared for that. So, as Adah is also into fashion and liked my collection, the two of us decided to work together. We quickly found a boutique that took five of my dresses in for sale. I'm really proud of myself. Adah is now in charge of getting my, sorry our, money and providing new dresses to that boutique. While working I had the chance to talk to Adah, and she told me LOTS of stories about Shirel's childhood. Apparently, as a 3-year-old, he wanted to be a strong fighter and asked to be called "muscle man", but couldn't pronounce that properly and thus called himself "muffin man" for nearly a year. I'm so gonna use that information!
We ended up on the ferry, which Gulli knew about and visited us. He wants to recruit us for his cult, and now he also wants Yelena's blood. He didn't talk to all of us, I think. He knows exactly how to get through to us as a group. Nevertheless, non of us gave into his plan, and so he created the illusion of a Kraken attacking the boat. That illusion felt so real to all of us, it not only scared us but made clear to us, that Gulli knows better than ever how to get into our heads.
I finally got to talk to Trip a bit, and it was then that I realized, that the gatekeepers probably know now that he is alive and so am I. I kept really lowkey for the last year to now be in danger of being found by them... I don't want to start thinking about what that could mean to Drake and to our relationship. I was so upset I went under deck to cry. Drake came to comfort me. He is really afraid of Gulli, so I promised him to not do anything risky. We'll get through this, hopefully.
When we arrived in Ssethix, we found a ghost town. People were so absentminded, they had to be manipulated by Gulli and/or his cult. They locked us up in a tiny shed... technically, they didn't lock it, but they waited all around it and watched us. They wanted us to stay for their evening prayers. We then were witnesses to a weird ceremony of which we soon were part off. In the water, we saw a giant eye, that kept asking for living sacrifices. Yelena and Trip kicked some innocent people into the water, Trip only lost his capacity to think over this for a few moments, but Yelena had it worse than that. She exploded into millions of tiny pieces, that were reassembled into some kind of brain with tentacles. We had to kill it since it kept attacking us. It was a rough fight, that abruptly ended when Trip shot some bolts of lightning into the eye. Suddenly, we were back on the ferry. We had killed most of the crew and the ship was burning. Gulli is really a master of illusions. I begin to understand, why Drake is so afraid of him. I can't stop thinking about the fact, that I freed him. That all of this is my responsibility and that if one of us dies because of one of those illusions, that it will be my fault. I don't think I can live with that burden.
Somehow the guys convinced the remaining crew to still get us to Ssethix. This time it was a normal small village, in the swamps, inhabited by lizardfolk... who am I kidding, it is disgusting! I need to get back to Sedem Lux asap. When we arrived, the town was under attack by snakes and crocodiles. We fought them without any problems, I mean, after all, we are the dragonslayers... during the fight, Trip lit a house on fire so that Yelena had to help save a mother and child out of it. Trip then offered the family money to rebuild it... I barely recognize him, he's grown so much during that last year. He's an adult now, I guess.
We stayed in Ssethix for the night and before going to bed Trip and I met outside to catch up. It was the worst. We got into a huge fight. I accused him of bringing the Gatekeepers upon me. He told me that I hadn't changed a bit and still couldn't take responsibility for myself and my actions. He kept reproaching me and Drake to ignore the different dangers that we have to face, namely Gulli, the new plan of the Lady of Pain, the cooperation between our father and Corellon, the Wolves... to name a few. I tried to explain that it is not possible to ignore something one does not know about. It was heated, I yelled at him, I cried. Finally, I tried to storm off, but just couldn't. In the end, we lied in each other's arms, promising us, that we'll be there for each other and telling us that we love each other.
Now I lie here, next to Drake, still shaking and agitated, with tears in my eyes. I'm confused, overwhelmed, and afraid. I don't want to lose any of them, not even Gwenelle, since I'm kind of curious about that apple pie.
