Gwenelle Nirinath

Gwenelle is a half Drow, who was raised as a slave because of her tainted blood. After being accused of murder, she fled from On'Aethlond in order to start a new life without the Drow rules.

Physical Description

Like all slaves to the Drow, Gwenelle has a tattoo on her face. As a Half-Drow, her skin isn't that dark but has a more greyish tone. Her hair is flaming red instead of the usual white or silver. Her eyes shimmer in a deep purple. She's got the typical athletic body that most elf races have and is quite nimble. She has scars on her back from receiving the not unusual slave punishments. Even though she's a good fighter, she tries to avoid combats and likes to stay hidden behind other party members in order to avoid being the first casualty.

Personal History

Born from a human father and a drow mother, Gwenelle hasn't had an easy life. Due to her mother’s high reputation, she had not been killed as a baby but was instead taken away and raised as a slave by a well-known drow family. She was treated like the Goliath, from whom she learned to speak some Giant. Unfortunately, one day she witnessed a murder of a high-ranking Drow and was then falsely accused of said murder. Her only option was to flee or be killed. So she decided to start over somewhere else. She fled through the jungle, keeping closer to the mountains in an effort to try and avoid most of the Lizardfolk patrols. On her journey she came across the Giant tower and decided to seek shelter within to shake her Lizardfolk pursuit. She remained hidden to wait out the Lizardfolk, when Cap and his crew came waltzing in and found her.

Psychological/ Emotional Aspect

Neither the Drow nor the other Goliath slaves saw her as one of them. This resulted in emotional struggles and issues with her personality.
One part of her is overly cautious and she mistrusts everyone she meets. Sometimes even, she can be as disdainful as the Drow themselves. Her other- more human- part is longing for acceptance, not being lonely anymore, making friends, and eventually finding love. Surprisingly, she had kind of a crush on Hotshot when they first met. Even after she held her dagger to his throat, he was the first man in her life, who perceived her as an actual person and even asked « May I call you Gwen? ». They shared some night watches together and although they didn't talk much, Gwenelle enjoyed just being around him. Unfortunately, she never had the chance to confess her feelings as Hotshot was killed together with Mini by the dragon Umbrakis.
When the deeply shocked party stood next to the dead bodies of their friends, Gwenelle didn't want to show any weakness and encouraged to « loot » them, so she could take Hotshot's ring, which she carries close to her ever since.
Of her current party members, she likes Shirel the most, as he's always nice to her and they had some interesting conversations. She also has a positive attitude towards Yelena, while she's rather indifferent towards Lucky. She doesn't trust the newcomers BB and TT at all and is convinced they're hiding something and everyone will get killed because of them.
