Vrex is Shapeshifter, formally a mechanic aboard a Galactic Union freighter ship. After they were abandoned on the ship with their child, Vrex was eventually saved by a scavenger, Kaius Ardent.

Physical Description

Vrex tends to favor a lean, wiry frames when shifting, as it helps them move through vents easier.

Vrex wears an adaptive suit that is in the form of a mechanic jumpsuit, along with a well-worn utility belt.

Vrex is an Outworlder for the Shapeshifter Administration. They were hired by the Galactic Union for a time as a mechanic and engineer, before they were saved by Kaius who they now work for.

Social

Freighter Crew

Despite the Galactic Union being prejudice towards shapeshifters, Vrex had managed to get accepted for a job on one of the freigther ships as a mechanic. They had a decent reputation since they did their job well.
However after the freighter had a catastrophic failure and the crew was stranded in space, a wedge grew between Vrex and the other crewmates due to Vrex eating fallen crew members to save the rationed food for the others. Because of this, when the crew managed to be evacuated, Vrex was left behind with their child.

Family Ties

Vrex has a baby, Tali, who they gave birth to before the freighter failed. Tali is Vrex’s entire world. Everything they do is motivated by their love and devotion to their child, and the main reason they survived so long on the freighter. Vrex is very patient with Tali and fiercely protective.

Kaius

Vrex was initally distrustful of Kaius, seeing the conman as just another opportunist. However after he saved them and stuck around after Vrex and Tali had recovered somewhat, Vrex decided to stay and work for him with maintaining his ship.
