Revicis
Revicis is a Ashurian tradition to celebrate Ashuri who have completed their role and are being recycled back into The Nethren.
History
Due to the fact the nature of being recycled can be daunting, the Ashuri began the tradition of Revicis as a way to calm and reassure the individual, celebrate their achievements and hard work, as well as encourage the other Ashuri to process the loss of one of their own.Gifts
During celebration, the honoree will hand out personal belongings to close friends and individuals they feel will benefit most from receiving the gifts.Participants
Revicis is usually only participated by Ashuri, unless specific Ahura have been invited too. Most Ahura either have little interest in participating, or feel like it's more respectful for the Ashuri to celebrate by themselves.Observance
Revicis usually occurs the day before the recycling process, in the late evening where it’s easiest for the Ashuri to gather at the same time. If due to job or time related issues, sometimes Revicis will take place in the early morning.Celebration
During Revicis, the Ashuri will celebrate with communal eating and sharing stories and memories about the chosen Ashuri. The honoree, if they wish, will also share stories and knowledge of their time in their roles, the relationships they've made along the way.If the chosen Ashuri has worries about the process of being recycled, the other Ashuri will take the time to reassure and comfort them. Sometimes the Ashuri in question will be unable to participate in Revicis, usually due to sudden or early death.
Stories and communal eating will still occur, and if the individual has left notes on who they want their belonging left to, then those will be handed out too.
It is frowned upon for Ahura to refuse to let their Ashuri take part in the celebrations, even by other Ahura.
