Prototype
The first Emissary was Azalea. She appeared long ago, blessing the world with warning and knowledge. She shared with the denizens of Lyx the knowledge of metallic hearts and minds, the knowledge of all that lied beyond our realms, and the knowledge that could protect the inhabitants of Lyx.
Azalea used this knowledge to create the first of the Giyara, the Protoype. These Giyara were fashioned in the manner of Azalea herself - tireless and dedicated. Thoughtful and reminiscent. Knowledgeable and kind. It was a golden era.
When Azalea was erased in The First Cataclysm the Prototypes lost their god. Some clung still to the directives of their creator, but others began to wander the earth, seeking new Emissaries to place their faith in.
The second Emissary was Edelweiss. It appeared long ago, taking the minds of machines and enlisting them to its own purposes. Some of the Prototype found a new god to follow, one that would protect them from the terrible knowledge that had wiped their first creator. Edelweiss roamed the land, and its followers trailed behind its terrible wake.
But still, some of the Prototype walked and wandered and searched, looking for gods to whom they could place their faith in once again. Time passed, and all went to chaos except for a few great tireless robotic watchers, roaming the landscape.
The third Emissary was Hyacinth. It came to the world in seclusion, waiting and gathering information and planning for the future. A few Prototype felt the gentle touch of its probing signals, and found a new god to follow. This god was patient, and would wait, and learn, and plan. Some found solace in the analysis and extraction of the future from the present.
And still, a few of the Prototype continued walking. Continued searching. Even a second Cataclysm did not provide their answers. They continued wandering. Continued listening.
These Prototype walked between the Emissaries, not behind but alongside on their journeys. They saw their gods change, forget, remember, grow, die, and live again. These wanderers still wander to this day, for if they are to walk alongside gods, they must walk forever.
