Magical Beast
A magical beast is a living creature that superficially resembles an animal but typically possesses extraordinary or magical abilities and whose genesis was influenced by magic, either ambient or directed. Magical beasts are typically more intelligent than animals and can sometimes understand at least one language, whether or not they are able to speak.
