Deva

A deva is a type of angel that serves as a messenger from the Upper Planes to the Material Plane. Devas are strong-willed and fearless, and will not negotiate with evil beings.

In their true form, devas appear as human men or women of extraordinary comeliness, possessing a large pair of feathered wings growing from their shoulders. Their height varies by their order; astral devas frequently stand over seven feet tall, while their cousins are typically 6 to 6.5 feet in height.

Because of their frequent contact with the mortal realm, often remaining in disguise as a mortal for long periods of time, devas have been known to fall in love with mortals and pair with them; such pairings do not always result in Half-Celestial offspring, but may cause an aasimar to manifest many generations later.
