Yaakov's family consists of brothers, sisters-in-law, and nephews/nieces. The sisters-in-law have expressed consternation with Yaakov for being out all night (at the Nart Quarter cemetery, as it happens), and forced him to spend more time taking care of his family (specifically, watching his nieces and nephews) the following day. One sister-in-law named Chaya was later outraged when Yaakov brought Agapia home, and even more outraged when she understood Agapia as saying she wanted to convert to the Fogarma Faith. She then had a younger family member grant Agapia three ribbons in an effort to get her to leave. They live in a Fogarma neighborhood in Udyn. They appear in Chapters 10 and 12.
