The proprietor of an antiquities shop near the docks
This shop-owner has a shop near the docks, where he sells lamps, chandeliers, weapons, rugs, and other merchandise. This shop is a favorite haunt of Agapia's, and she took Yaakov in to show him the shop after the two went to the docks at Lokan's behest. The shop owner tried to sell Yaakov a tonic with numerous reputed salutary effects, including the ability to cure gout, rheumatism, leprosy, and other maladies. The physician decided that the tonic might not have such properties, and demurred.
The proprietor speaks Kochmak and Rakhman.
Presumably, he still lives in Udyn, and continues to operate this shop.
He appears in Chapter 12.
