Session 42 - Preparing to Depart Dubno
General Summary
After she went back to the dormitory in a huff, Marina tried to stay on her best behavior for about a day - a difficult proposition under the watchful eye of the resident sisters.

After a rest, the party found themselves pleasantly surprised as the curses that had burdened some of their members mysteriously lifted. Ivan awoke as a young man again, while Emil had also been transformed into one. A newfound sense of relief and vigor washed over them, setting a positive tone for the journey ahead.
Concerned about the mystical entrances in the caves, the group took measures to seal up the one apparently dedicated to Veles, veiling the passage and ensuring that the secrets of the underground realm remained guarded.
Their exploration had yielded a precious resource – holy water. As they left the caves, the remainder was handed over to Archhegumen Feodor, who warned the party of revealing this boon to others. Despite his initial reservations, the party convinced him to let them keep a portion for personal use. After Marina, who had reunited with her companions after their return to the surface, asked an inconvenient quesiton about what he planned to do with the rest of the water, since it was so dangerous, Feodor allowed them to keep an additional portion.
Following their return after sealing that tunnel, the group reunited with Marina (though Dukh v Dymu decided to stay in the caves for some time to enjoy solitude and the monks' singing a little longer.
Agnessa, for her part, unveiled her plan to return home and lift a curse that had plagued her. She tried to make a little money for supplies by selling poisonous mushrooms to Christopher, a foreign merchant who in turn, tried to recruit her to poison a local man (though without much success). Marina joined some performers at the bazaar, doing dangerous tricks and locating her erswhile charge, Nadia (who reappeared with a golden-haired monkey given to her by Christopher, in tow. Ivan and Alena worked at the monastery, helping expand it. While thus engaged, Ivan located an old scroll containing a prayer that allowed one who recited it correctly to erect a structure, though he didn't entirely understand it.
In a surprising turn of events Alena chose to go on ahead to search for Tolui Beg's horde and Lada, who was its captive. She bid farewell to the party. Her decision marked a divergence in paths but one filled with conviction.
As the group prepared to set forth, Ivan, driven by gratitude for being young again, decided to join their continued journey. The promises of challenges and opportunities lay ahead, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their intertwined destinies.
