Sergei Reznikov
Sergei Reznikov is an impoverished prince of a line that long ago fell on hard times. He spends most of his time in large cities like Krinets, using his status as leverage for organizing various enterprises to improve his (or his family's) fortunes. Despite the family's loss of status, Reznikov has strong connections, and is able to stay with prominent families in the city, and to find his way to feasts thrown by various magnates.
Reznikov has been involved with two separate adventuring groups. He was associated with Peter and his son Nikolai - two cat shapeshifters who went to seek sunken treasure in Lake Bogumil, and were taken prisoner by rusalki who lived in that lake. Reznikov returned to Krinets, and successfully recruited Peter's daughter Nina, as well as her companions Lilith, Bryan Croaks and Fernando Frims, to find his vanished companions, and to lay hands on the treasure. Reznikov's main role in this enterprise was raising funds, at which he was not entirely successful. Nevertheless, he did accompany Nina and the rest of Misha's Beasts to Lake Bogumil, and participated in the treasure hunt. The hunt did not permanently solve his money problems.
After coming to Krinets, Yaga's Yokels also encountered Reznikov. He was a guest at Chilliarch Iudita Boretskaya's feast, where he met Sasha. He told her about his journey to Lake Bogumil with Nina and her companions, and Sasha related her group's plans to journey north at Baba Yaga's behest. Eventually, Reznikov invited her and Vasilisa Priamovna to Chilliarch Svetlana Mikhailova's mansion, where he was staying. There, in exchange for promises to be introduced to Baba Yaga, he showed the two women a magic mirror, which gave querents visions of things they sought. Reznikov also sought intimacy with both women, though only Sasha accepted his offer.
The following day, Sasha brought other companions to Mikhailova's mansion. At that time, Chonkorchuk and Tumma Keza also looked into the mirror, and Sasha gave Reznikov Baba Yaga's apple, in hopes that he will find people to identify it, and to sell it to raise funds for the trip to the north. Reznikov took the apple, but after the Yokels left him, he seems to have immediately left town with it - or so Svetlana Mikhailova's servants told them after they came calling on Reznikov the following day. Subsequently, they enlisted a man named Drazhan to track Reznikov, and he seems to have picked up the trail of a lone horseman traveling north, along the Omena River. Subsequently, Drazhan lost the trail, after he unwittingly entered the Realm of Grandfather Frost.
Reznikov has not been seen by any of the Yokels ever since, and his current whereabouts are unknown.
Physically, Sergei is a man in his mid-20s, young-looking, attractive, and generally, well-dressed.
