Petr Baburin
Baburin is a silk merchant based in Krinets. He was originally suggested by Rogdai Siverskii as a supplier of trade goods for the Yokels' trip to the north. When the party met him in his counting house, Chonkorchuk proposed a deal, whereby Baburin would sell them bolts of silk on credit, in order to establish new trade routes. The latter would have none of it, and only agreed to sell the party what it could afford to buy. Ultimately, they bought only 10 arshins of red silk.
Baburin did, however, provide some useful travel information, which helped the Yokels decide to travel through Kavernika, instead of taking the eastern route through Radomysl.
To the best of anyone's knowledge, Baburin is still in Krinets.
