Sirius

Sirius is a binary star system located around eight and a half light-years from the Sol System.
The system has no habitable planets, but contains the large Sobdet habitat, which orbits the ice giant Sopdu. Sobdet serves as a major administrative hub for the entire Canis sector.

Sopdet

Sopdet is the vast orbital administration hub for the entire Canis sector, originally built as a refinery for harvesting volitiles from the atmosphere of Sopdu, it became the staging ground for the Battle of Sirius during the Gaia Conflict thanks to its bluespace gate. While it suffered minimal damage during the battle, many of the military commanders responsible for the defense of the station considered it a strategically vital hub, and the decision was made to upgrade the habitat into a vast administration and military hub, which it has remained to this day.
It is predominantly occupied by space-adapted humans.
