Canis

Canis is a large region of space that is part of the United Nations of Sol-Aligned Systems. It contains five occupied star systems, and is contained between Sol's Non-Aligned Expansion Zone, and the Helios Garrison. It's people are a variety of Solar cultures, and its capital is the administrative hub of Sobdet, located in the Sirius system.

Lalande

Lalande is an M-Type Star in the Canis Sector. The discussion of whether it had a planet of not was hotly debated in the 21st Century, until explorers were able to visit the star and confirm it does have an exoplanet known as Lola, albeit very, very hot and mostly uninhabitable.

Sirius

Sirius is an occupied system in the UNSAS. It has no occupied planets, but instead is governed from the largest installation in space, Sopdet. It was a prime target during the Gaia War, with the gateway becoming the site of a large siege force.

Luyten's Star

Luyten's Star is a red dwarf in the Canis Sector. It has several occupied planets, one of which is home to native life. In the 21st Century, scientists transmitted music in the direction of this star, hoping for a response. Either the non-sapient life was incapable of responding, or just didn't like Bach.

Procyon

Procyon is a binary star system in the Canis Sector. It has one occupied planet, Sana. Sana is a minor autocratic republic. While it has been called undemocratic by several other member states of the UNSAS, independent observers in the system have reported no rights violations.

Kapteyn's Star

Kapteyn's Star is a minor star system in the Canis system. It has two occupied planets, Jacobus and Cornellius. Jacobus is an ocean world, completely covered in liquid water. It has countless aquatic species present in its oceans, but most are considered toxic to humans without preparation. Cornellius is a frozen superearth with no atmosphere. It has a large number of mineral extraction sites which supplies Jacobus cities.
