Fate and Vivi met during a job that they had both accepted from two different cities. They challenged each other to see who would finish first the job first and, to one another's surprise, did so at the same time. The two ran into one another on other jobs and ended up working together permanently. From that first job, they became one another's best friend and rival.

They are two sides of a coin. While Fate tends to be more laid back, Vivi is more responsible. And, in fate's absence, Vivi takes full control of the guild and carries out Fate's will without fail.

Fate met Malice when he and Vivi were on a job. Malice was quiet and as dangerous as intriguing. Fate immediately took a liking to Malice, even if Vivi was a bit unsure in the beginning. After the two rescued Malice from an ambush by a large group of gnolls, they teamed up together and have been friends ever since.

Diahime met Fate at the same time her twin brother, Xio, did. They were on a job that crossed paths with one Fate and Vivi were on and had a similar objective. They decided to work together and in doing so forged a friendship.

Fate and Tophus were both prior members of The Order of __________, though they never met due to their age difference. By the time Tophus had entered the Order, Fate had already been kicked out. They met while Tophus was still a part of the Order, when he was only thirteen.
