The Laws of Linebound
Linebound is different from Earth in many ways:
- Linebound is a setting of islands that float in the sky over an unending storm. For unknown reasons skyships cannot fly directly over islands or over each other unless they are in or below the storm.
- It is always bright above the Floor as light falls straight down from no discernable source. Below there is no light bar lightning strikes.
- Magic is art but not all art is magic. Singing and dancing are the most common way that magic manifests but other art forms are capable of it as well. Not that this is common knowledge.
Cosmology
The Forgers believe that the world has yet to come and that when all strife and problems have ended that they will sing the world into existence.
The actual origins of the skies are unknown - even to me, the author. I choose to believe that they simply have always been.
Principal Geography & Features
Islands of varying size and climate composition float in the open skies. They can be seen from incredible distances on days when the skies are clear.
Initial Active Setting
The sky island of Breharan - a continent really - is the focus area of the setting. It is from here that people set out to explore the skies on the backs of ketzlat and at the helm of sky ships.
