Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Even among lizardfolk, Kratam was a giant. He towered above others and was the strongest to ever live, able to lift a struggling soranati above his head.

Identifying Characteristics

Aside from size and muscle mass Kratam is easily identified by his black scales, darker even than the rest of Clan Trakaata and darker still than the shadow of a storm.

Physical quirks

The skin and scales of this hero are said to be unbreakable or at the very least as strong as armor.

Kratam was known for wearing no armor in battle and carrying both a greatclub and a spear.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Kratam was born among the sand and rocks of northern Ratoghar as the second of five children. He was the only one to survive to adulthood. Early in his life it became clear that he was large - even among lizardfolk. This size - and the strength that came with it - were a great boon to him and allowed him to become the leader through ritual combat.
When Toranti arrived and defeated Kratam in combat he did not lose his station as was tradition because Toranti refused the position of leadership. Instead, he worked to aid the foreigner in accomplishing his goal. This took many seasons to acquire the food and supplies from the harsh landscape before they could begin their long trek. During this time Kratam worked tirelessly and often without food.
During the final conflict with the giant Kratam - dwarfed though he was by the creature - climbed his way up the creature and began attacking the neck and the head before being thrown off putting his spear through its hand in the process. By the time he was able to return to the site of the battle, it was over and Toranti had slain the giant. Kratam wanted to finish it off but never held any hostility towards his fellow hero who did what needed to be done.

Social Aptitude

In the stories of tomaktur that involve Kratam he is portrayed as slightly awkward in regular conversation. He is effective at talking plans and business but sometimes doesn't know when silence is called for, often being the first to break it.
