Keepers of the Council

Guardians of the Burim Council.

The bust was an absolute success. Our informant on the inside, she told us about the time and place of the meeting and because of her, we were able to surround the building with the plotters still inside. While we captured everyone in that building, there are some connections to a criminal organization and our informant should be relocated and given a stipend for her safety.

Establishment

Not long after the signing of the Burm ConstitutionGarret "The Wire" Sevralo successfully killed three members of the Burim Council in less time that it takes to get from the doors of the Hall to the top floor. He was captured and detained by a guard, Halvuraan Setispiin, on his way out of the building. In response to these killings, the Keepers were founded and Halvuraan became their first leader.

Proactive Protection

Halvuraan realized when The Wire was able to kill so many council members so efficiently that simply waiting for threats to appear and stopping them then would be far less effective than preventing danger before it reaches the doors of the Council Hall. The first members of the Keepers established a network of connections throughout the city that allowed them to catch wind of any ill intent toward the Council.

Unending Vigil

The guards who stand watch over the Hall are there at all times of the year, no matter the weather. They total about two hundred in number with half of them being active at any given time. Their most iconic piece of equipment is the split lance, a weapon that they can utilize at its full length outside of the building and shorten to wield within the tight hallways inside. These are iconic becaues they are carried by the Keepers that stand watch at the doors. However, many Keepers are now armed with blackpowder rifles.
