Bronze Fortress

Imposing headquarters of the Machine Priests.

The ship approached the bronze island. As it approached, Roroc realized that it wasn't an island with a fortress on it. The island was a fortress. Walls, towers, cannons, courtyards, from here he could see it all. Though he would likely never see his family again.

Purpose / Function

The Bronze Fortress serves many purposes. It is a construction yard for the powerful technology of the Machine Priests, a place of learning, a religious retreat, a forge, a fortress, and a home among other uses.

Alterations

Any information about the structures of the fortress are guarded by the most powerful weapons and armor and the most ingenious technologies known in the skies. Should the fortress plans fall into the wrong hands, so might the weapons, armors, and technologies.   The fortress was constructed before the invention of skyships. Given the use of such vehicles in the present day, the skyport must have been built after the initial parts of the fortress.

Architecture

Stone and metal are the primary materials of the structure. Sharp edges with metal strips define the aesthetic of the fortress.

History

The Machine Priests built their headquarters far into the past, no records of when exist - at least no records outside the hands of the Machine Priests.   The structure is recorded as existing at the start of the Time of Rebuilding by early explorers traveling on ketzlat.   In recent years, people say that they have a machine that can answer any question. The Machine Priests say that such a machine cannot exist.

They travel most of Breharan trading for resources, often expensive ones. Then, they travel back to their island fortress and do what? We do not know but something strange is going on. Why do our leaders give our resources to them for seemingly nothing in return?   The answers lie on that island.
