Eddevhund is a nation of ranges and farms, providing a large percentage of Einelund's wheat, dairy, and meat. The I'vhund place great value on agricultural knowledge and even the lords of the great houses of Eddevhund are expected to put in their fair share of labor in the fields or on the range.
Structure
Eddevhund is controlled by several "Great Houses," rich families who claim ownership of all the land in Eddevhund. Through a complex system of land grants, a feudal hierarchy exists throughout the nation.
Culture
Landed gentry in Eddevhund are all referred to as Lord, there is no official rank system. That does not mean there isn't a very real order of merit that the lords of Eddevhund observe and it is incumbent upon those fortunate enough to control land to know where they sit, relative to other lords. This has led to many a feud, especially amongst lords operating under separate vassalages.
