K-A/67 Ion-injection Engine
Keaya cursed as the lights in the flight deck flickered. "Damn engines got another coolant leak. Basht, can you get back there and take a look? Basht stared at the captain with a smug look. "It's a kaa, boss. It doesn't have coolant half the time."A common interplanetary engine from K-A Engines. The 67-PB/r engine is capable of lifting most small sized craft into a planets upper atmosphere. As a K-A product, this common engine is jokingly referred to as a kaa, the Tarunan word for excrement. Developed as part of a partnership between Kaenuan and Altunian engineers, the K/A engines are known for their shoddy workmanship and tendancy to deteriorate rapidly after about 890,000 flight hours.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
Like many PB Engines, the K-A/67 uses Plasmic Beta Propulsion to generate thrust. In order to generate the level of thrust in a smaller form factor, the engine includes an ion-injector, which causes the exiting plasma beta particles to exit the engine at 26% higher force.
Due to the increased output, the engine requires a pressurized coolant system in order to keep from overheating.

Haha, I love that it's jokingly referred to as the word for poop. That's hilarious, and something I can definitely see happening.
