Keaya Character in Life Under Four Suns | World Anvil

Keaya

I'm not above throwing you out of the docking bay at sub-orbit. Fail to follow my protocols again, Miss Enkia and you will find yourself quite quickly returning home.
Captain Keaya, owner of the Voiceless Wind.
An independent, meticulous ship captain and business woman, Keaya makes her living off trade and transportation using her modified Talon GT-7 Sloop. While generally friendly, the experiences of 47 cycles has made her extremly pragmatic.

Personal History

Early Life

Keaya was born on Naal Ja, the third moon of Mizar Erus. The second of three children, she was lovingly cared for by her parents and older brother, Rhin. After her younger brother was born, the family immigrated to Erus properly.

The Disaster and the Journey

At the age of seven, the Erusian Raids began. These violent attacks against civilian targets led to large scale devastation across the planet. By the end of her ninth cycle, Keaya's home was destroyed and her mother and younger brother were killed.

The Good Doctor's Passing

By this time, the Doctor had become renowned for his surgical skill, able to afford sending Rhin to the Defense Academy, and subsequently Keaya to the Mizarian Pilot's Academy. Sadly, while the two were away on their careers, the Doctor died from SPC-CA.

A Legitimate Business Woman

Now in her late forties, Keaya has taken over the Voiceless Wind, running it as tightly as a military ship like her brother, but with a warmth that he lacked.

I like the sound of Keaya. She seems to have gone through quite a lot in her life - I'm not surprised that it's left her pragmatic. I'm glad she seems to have kept her warmth though, or at least some of it. Voiceless Wind is a great name for a ship. :D
