Scorpions for a long time have been dangerous in Levis, especially with their Saburran subspecies. It is always the purview of the creative and the reckless to seek solutions to problems in new and unique locations. For the venoms of the Saburran scorpions this came about with the scorpion milkers of the eastern desert.

Seeking to turn a seasonal risk into a trade profit, the profession grew from guides whose business dried up over the hotter months, when the risk of dehydration and the swarming scorpions reduced the flow of business from Levis to the far unknowns.

Physical & Chemical Properties

Acidic, containing a medium molarity of sulphuric acid when not treated, the stabilising agents also react with the acid in the venom to get it to a mild edible concentration. Many Levis scorpions also have anti-congelatant agents, thinning the blood and providing the benifits of such. Given the discussion of such in a medicine or food usage, obviously this is used in a careful and well measured sense.

Life & Expiration

Without manipulation, scorpion venom will deteriorate over the course of a week as the enzymes in the substance break down. For use the way it has developed, certain agents will be added to give it a month's worth of life. With the agents the problem is not a decay in the component but a potential to grow mold within the sample and such contaminate the sample to the point of uselessness.

One of the great scorpion milkers is Sol Jacaranda. A man paid exclusively in recovered human coins and debts for human relics, this sly troll man uses delicate instruments to coax the scorpions into harmlessly stinging into a capture container, and can always be found with a smile and a suggestion for a mid day nap upon his lips. His get-up is a dull orange hood, and he sports a thick beard encrusted with salt from a salt water bath.
