Locus

God of Space Locus

Locus is the God of Space and second eldest of the Five Gods of Creation. Despite being a few centuries younger than Aevum, he was significantly more powerful since Teho was better able to control her powers by that point. The first few years of Locus's life were spent cleansing the ever-encroaching corruption of the Void from Levan. To him, it seemed that for every area cleaned there would be two more sections of the world polluted. Locus realize that in order to keep Levan safe and stable they would need to deal with the root cause of the corruption, instead of simply dealing with its symptoms. Locus would create a powerful barrier that would separate Levan from the Void, keeping all of its corrupting properties out. The creation and maintenance of the barrier would take a lot of power, so much that it could possibly kill him. Despite the risks, Locus persevered, at first he created only a small barrier that would protect the still pure portions of Levan. As Levan was purged this barrier would be expanded to incorporate the new areas under its protection.   With his creation, complete Locus spent the next centuries maintaining the barrier and keeping corruption out. He would even aid the other Gods and Goddesses when they made their own planes of existence, by creating a barrier for them as well. However, the more barriers that Locus put up the weaker he became, he was still more powerful than most other Gods but was a shadow of his former self. In order to make up for his weakening state, he asked his mother, Teho, to help him create a new set of Gods to maintain these barriers. With Teho's help and power, Locus created the Guardians.   The Guardians aided Locus in the defense and protection of the barrier in Levan, allowing him a regain part of his power that had been previously lost. Locus spent the next few centuries in the Aether recovering from all his creations. During this time the Guardians did their best to maintain the barrier, but without Locus's help, the corruption from the Void was slowly able to penetrate the barrier. To combat this the Guardians created the Valkyria, Aquentians, and Zuni-Osage to help cleanse the corruption. These efforts worked for a while and the world became balanced once more.   Levan would remain protected from the Void until the Years of Blood. During the war the Nekonor made numerous attempts to breach the barrier, allowing corruption to flow freely through Levan. The Guardians and their minions were able to keep the barrier secure until Baratrum personally pierced the shield with his blade, Godbreaker. With the barrier breached corruption flowed throughout Levan, distorting the world and causing chaos. With his barrier breached Locus finally left the Aether and personally took up the defense and rebuilding of the barrier. Locus and the Guardians were able to quickly repair the barrier, but it was not as strong as it once was. The breach made by Baratrum had destablizied the very foundations of the barrier, allowing a little bit of corruption to seep through. With his barrier sufficiently repaired, Locus and the Guardians joined the Aethoral in their fight against Baratrum and the Nekonor. The added support of Locus, the Guardians, and their minions helped tip the scales in favor of the Aethoral, allowing them to gain the upper hand in the war. After years of bloody fighting Locus and the Aethoral had finally managed to drive all the Nekonor out of Levan, they believed that the war had been won. Unbeknownst to them, Baratrum and his companions managed to sneak into the Aether where they were currently fighting Teho. By the time that Locus and the other Gods realized what was going on Baratrum, his companions, and Teho had vanished into the Void.   With Teho lost in the Void and Aevum in a coma, Locus was the senior most God and their defacto leader. In his first and only decree as leader Locus called for the Gods and Goddesses of the Aether to leave in search of Teho. Many Gods, including Locus, took up this quest leaving Levan and the Aether to find Teho. Locus left the maintanence of the barrier to the Guardians once more and then left, never to be seen again.
