Corruption

4000B.A.

As the various creations of Deos lived without sin, in their era of peace, the Eternals wait in the shadows. Plotting. Scheming. Lying to their father of their intentions. Now, they lash out. Not in direct violence, but at the lesser creations of their father.

For a thousand years now, Deos' seven direct children have been plotting, deciphering a way to undo these lesser things that now infect their once perfect world. The conclusion they came to was as follows: They themselves would not strike the mortals. Rather, they would have the mortals strike each other. They would each plant a unique sin in the hearts of all of these lesser things.
The eldest was the first to demonstrate. In each of the mortals, he planted a sort of longing for what everyone else had. This sin was called envy. He would take this name for himself. Next was the second eldest. Fron this envy, he created a sort of unjust anger. A jealous rage. A sort of wrath. He would take this name for himself.
Next, the third son. He From his elder brother's seeded envy, he gave the mortals a desire to always accumulate more, and more, beyond all reasonable amount of satisfaction. This sin was named greed, and that is the name he took for himself. The fourth child, a sister, would create a perversion of her design's original design. The design of reproduction. She implanted a desire to do so unjustly, and not out of love as Deos designed. This sin was called lust, and this was the name she took for herself.
The fifth son saw how the mortals were tampering with his intricate design. Saw how they consumed the animals intended to distribute the seeds of the plants, and saw how they consumed these seeds. If they are to tamper with his design, then let them do so. He gave them the desire, the compulsion to needlessly, endlessly consume. This sin was named gluttony, and that is the name he took for himself. The sixth refused to take part in all this, claiming he had done enough work. In doing so, he inadvertently planted this sin in the hearts of the mortals. This sin was named sloth, and this is the name he took for himself.
The seventh, and youngest son was determined to prove himself above even his eldest, and truly believed himself to be so. He instilled this in the hearts of the mortals. This sin was called pride, and that is the name he took for himself.
In seeding these sins, two things happened. Their own forms were twisted, and warped into the infernal, grotesque, wicked figures that matched their sin. Along with that, their sin had created a new sort of people. They knew no art, they knew no music, they knew no love, they were the physical manifestation of all sins which the Eternals had made. When they awoke, they called themselves the orcs. Green skin, large tusks for teeth, and as tall, and strong as the draconin.
