Adeline Schwaren-Erastes

Adeline Schwaren-Erastes is a former Alderni military officer, who commanded a unit of soldiers during the war with Savura. She and her soldiers are believed to have been present at the Battle of the Ford , and may potentially have been involved with the Massacre at Fianicci .
Towards the end of the war she became disillusioned with her superiors in the High Nobility, and deserted along with the rest of her unit when it became clear that all was lost. Unable to return to Aldernord, nor to defect to Savura, they turned to banditry in order to survive, roaming the area between Steppa Nezr and the hills to the west of Cameri. When the wards concealing Kab Melekh failed, they happened to be in the vicinity, and indeed set up camp in a cave that opened onto the ruins for a short period of time.
Adeline was badly wounded, and several of her companions killed, when they attempted to rob a party of adventurers working for Stephano di Cario di Bregzana. Her life was spared in exchange for a solemn oath that she and her followers would leave the area; it is believed that they headed into the mountains, headed either for Balthas or perhaps for Viraky or Zar Tagar.
It has been suggested that a bounty-hunter named Robert Fletcher of Awenmeet, encountered by the Queensknife expedition to Kab Melekh in Paracannia, may have been looking for Adeline and her followers.

Family

Adeline is the niece of Isidore "Insight" Schwaren-Erastes, a tiefling who led the Hellborn Host until his death in 1339AK. It is also suspected that the young sorcerer named "Logic", a pupil of the Hall of Apprentices at the Academy of Gildenschloss, may be her son.
