Montezur Domechurch

In the hilly town of Montezur the Church looks out on all other buildings. On top of the highest hill, which in the summers glimmers blue of bluebells, lies a wide and flat circular building made of limestone and crowned with a dome of red bricks.   The town of Montezur is regarded as one of the Aduralinian towns, being approximately 150 km away by road.   After the Fall of Aduralin survivors fled in many different directions and so Montezur was filled with refugees and beggars. Historically Montezur Church was at first created as a monastery for Aduralin clerics to retreat to when facing hardships in their life or faith. Over time some of the clergy grew in love with the town and stayed there. The monastery kept taking care of clergymen but as the town grew and the former townchurch became older it was decided to turn the monastery into the official town church. It was by know much larger than the old church, which was instead transformed into homes for traveling clergymen.   With Montezur Domechurch been created as a monastery and still having strong monastery traditions it was obvious what to do for them when the survivors came. The clergy moved into rooms with each other to make place for more people and woodworkers begun making bunk beds. While the refugees needed somewhere to stay that was not the only problem. Some had burns, others had breathed in ash and most were deeply emotionally damaged.

Architecture

The church is a wide and flat circular building made of limestone and crowned with a dome of red bricks.   The church is built in a mostly renaissance architecture made of beige limestone. The main building is a 30 meter diameter Icosagon (20-sided polygon) with each side being symmetrical and framed by discreet pilasters. Four of the sides have large double doors, ornamented with dark iron, leading into the building. Each door also have carvings according to the element of its cardinal direction. A large dome of red bricks sits atop the building, with round limestone hips, ending in a small brass finial. On the inside there are one large room in the middle and multiple smaller ones along the wall. The large hall is brightly lit up during the day by multiple windows in the ceiling.   With time more building have been added around the domechurch. Each of them have been placed in a symmetric fashion around the church, and the additional walls made between them make them look like a large tetracontagon (40-sided polygon). They are made in a smilar style as the church but are thinner and having high hip roofs.
