Dourn's Vision

A creature under the effect of Dourn's Vision gains the following traits during the period. The effects are all connected, removing one, removes all effects of Dourn's Vision.
∙The creature is poisoned
∙The creature has the effect of Detect Magic. It can also see where magic just have been cast and where magic is more prominent.
∙Whenever the creature tries to cast an spell, active a magic item or a magical ability (such as wild shape) it has to make a DC 12 concentration check. On a failure both the time is wasted. Any spell slot or race/class resource (such as wild shapes) is also wasted.

Causes

The cause of Dourn's Vision is a fungus found in the Seam. It is commonly believed to be the caused by the white and tall mushroom Gnomenose which isn't actually true. Gnomenose lives a symbiotic life with another fungus, the Star Mold, and it is that mold that produces the active chemicals.

Symptoms

Under the effect of Dourn's Vision a creature is able to see the magic around it, as with Detect magic, as a glimmering aura. In addition to being able to tell which items are magical the creature can also see glimmer in the air where magic has just been performed or if is a more magical area.   There is also two downsides to Dourn's Vision. The first is also vision based. While being able to see magic a creature also perceives everything else distorted. The world seems to rotate and colours shift in and out from normal to strong pastels. The other side effect of Dourn's Vision is lost grasp of ones own magical abilities.

Treatment

Dourn's Vision loses its effect with time, usually after 1 to 6 hours. It can also be treated with anything that cures poisoning. Drinking hot beverages is said to quicken the recovery.
