Geography
The coast of Turla Varma stretches for thousands miles against the Uran Ocean and Vuvik Gulf. Scattered frozen lakes and rivers separate acres of boreal forests, glaciers, and gorges.
Ecosystem
The chilling summers and deep frozen winters in Turla Varma prevent most life from taking hold in the region. Few species have adapted to the region as well as the Uran Orcs have thanks to their variant of artifice magic giving their roaming clans persistent warmth.
The Uran Orcs are not the only predator in the region; monstrous creatures competing against them include Arctic Remorhaz, Behirs, and voracious Caslots. While they keep to hunting more mundane fauna to survive, the Uran's also forage for what herbs the permafrost allows to grow.
Localized Phenomena
Two or three times a year, Turla Varma experiences violent blizzards rolling in from the frozen Uran ocean to the north. The winds of theses rare storms are said to carry the voices of the dead, or spirits of the ice. Those untrained to resist the tempting lures of the calming voices are led out into the gale to freeze to death. The source of the voices have never been uncovered as any expeditions into the spirit blizzard ends abruptly and tragically.
