Club S'fera
On the corner of Magmore Road and Shewbrior Avenue sits the disreputable brothel moonlighting as a bathhouse, Club S'fera. One of Harkinwall's many establishments for sex work, Club S'fera stands out from the rest because of its parent organization, Xeyebok's criminal empire. As a branch of that organization, Club S'fera's primary purpose is generating cash flow to support Xeyebok's less profitable pursuits.
The Baths
Like any standard bathhouse, Club S'fera offers bathing services for individuals or groups. A plain bath service prominently provides a private room containing a wide tub of clean water, towels, soaps, and various lounging furniture. Private baths can be rented by the hour for a flat rate, which is increased for each additional person in the group. The Club makes its real money, however, from the "bath companions" that can be hired for various services that include assistance with bathing but most often result in sexual activities. Both men's and women's companions can be selected from a registry when a bath is booked. Each worker sets their prices for their services, and the Club receives a percentage of their payment.The Dark Secret
Club S'fera's nefarious secret originates within Xeyebok's business agreements with the subterranean colonies of Mind Flayers. In exchange for Mind Flayer magic and resources, Xeyebok's organizations would provide human chattel for Mind Flayers to consume. To accomplish agreed quotas, Xeyebok fashioned two sources for his deliveries. The first was the simple kidnapping and trafficking of random people from the region and funneling them through a series of locations, eventually landing in Cinivago. When this outfit was inevitably disrupted in 825 ER, Xeyebok fell to his backup at Club S'fera. The Club's management would offer women employees incentives to become pregnant with clients' children. Should a worker become pregnant, an agent of Xeyebok would present an offer for the woman to carry the child to term and, upon its birth, be handed over to the organization. To incentivize this program, the women are offered a luxury apartment in Harkinwall with all necessities taken care of free of charge, and upon the birth of the child, the surrogate mother will receive a large sum of gold capable of lasting the woman the rest of her life. The organization raises children acquired in this manner to become agents, but those who fail to meet expectations are sold to the Mind Flayers.
