The New Gods
Scholars typically refer to the current pantheon of deities worshiped on Erdos as the New Gods because they established themselves after the Fall of the Varn. To common Erdosians however, they simply are...
The Gods of Erdos
What follows are brief descriptions of the 15 most influential deities worshiped on Erdos today. A few of these entries also have links to their dedicated article, with the rest coming in due time.Chronos
The King of Time
Province
History, Kingship, Magic, Record Keeping, TimeCleric Domains
Arcane, Knowledge, OrderPaladin Oaths
Devotion, Glory, Watchers Chronos is the God of Time. He is also known as the Chronicler. Mortals who worship him believe in the sanctity of time and the careful recording of history. As befits his title, the King of Time is associated with royalty and his name and priests are often called upon during coronations. His alignment is Lawful Neutral and his divine dominion is in the Outer Plane of Mechanus. He is a staunch enemy of aberrations hailing from the Far Realm.
Dragomir
The Ascended Lord
Province
Hunting of Undead, StregoniCleric Domains
Grave, Life, TwilightPaladin Oaths
Devotion, Glory, Vengeance Dragomir appeared on Erdos roughly 500 years ago. His priests claim that he was once a mortal stregoni who ascended to divinity. It should be noted that he was not Erdosian but of another world. He quickly became the de facto god of the stregoni, their divine protector. His alignment is Lawful Neutral. His divine dominion is in Arcadia.
The Dwamar
The God Collective
Province
Community, Craftsmanship, Dwarves, MiningCleric Domains
Forge, Grave, Order, TwilightPaladin Oaths
Devotion, Glory, Vengeance The god(s) of the dwarves. Depending on doctrine, the Dwamar is either viewed as a single deity or a collection of deities. Regardless, the Dwamar represent the divine manifestation of all dwarven values and are/is considered the creator of the dwarven race. The Dwamar are Lawful Good and dwell in Mount Celestia.
Emoric
The Voyager
Cleric Domains
TempestPaladin Oaths
Ancients The god of the sea and storm as well as the god of traveling. He is a primal god, though not part of the Old Faith. However, he is worshiped by druids.
The Guardian of Worlds
The Cosmic Sentinel
Cleric Domains
Order, Knowledge, Trickery, TwilightPaladin Oaths
Redemption, Watchers, Vengeance Sometimes referred to as Rune, the Guardian of Worlds is among the least worshiped of the deities presented here. Partly that’s because he is not a true god, but an immensely powerful cosmic entity, but mostly because his interests lie with aspects unrelated to common mortal life. The Guardian of Worlds is a keeper of balance on a cosmic scale, the protector of the functional integrity of the entire multiverse. He is also considered one of the greatest manipulators of the Trine Cosmic, using both mortals and gods as his pawns to ensure his cosmic agenda. He is worshiped as a protector, and the god of planar traveling. He is frequently worshiped by politicians due to his manipulative aspects. He is Lawful Neutral and his dominion is known as the Nexus Temple—a demiplane that is itself inside another demiplane known as the Observatorium.
Hredd
The Frostmaiden
Cleric Domains
Death, Grave, TempestPaladin Oaths
Ancients, Vengeance Hredd first appeared on Erdos during the Ashen Age, however her church was wiped out by the Ravenguard. It's now about 1700 years later, and she has managed to secure a decisive comeback, despite ongoing setbacks. She was one of the chief architects of the Blood Moon Crisis and it's suspected she also gave Rael the means to cast the stregoni Blood Curse. As the goddess if winter and death, more and more people offer prayers to her during the cold seasons and near the final threshold of life. She has as much control over death as Thyris, but she is not against against undead in principle--particularly the ones that serve her. Hredd is very hostile to the laissez-faire approach to godly worship that erdosians practice. In her view, mortals exist to serve the gods. She is neutral evil and dwells in the Nine Hells.
Magnus
The Crusader of Light
Cleric Domains
Order, WarPaladin Oaths
Glory, Vengeance Magnus is the God of Valorous Warfare; his supporters interpret this as an active stand against evil. His detractors view it as a euphemism for murdering those who allegedly do evil. He is the sworn enemy of Malthus—whom he views as his philosophical antithesis—but counts as adversaries any evil entity, particularly demons. Magnus is Lawful Good and dwells in Arcadia.
Malthus
The Lord of Might
Province
Strength, Tyranny, Orcs, Humans, ImperialismCleric Domains
Order, WarPaladin Oaths
Conquest, Glory Malthus was responsible for the creation of orcs on Erdos—an attempt to create the perfect warrior. However he also considers himself to be the patron of humans as well. A multifaceted deity, Malthus is above all else the God of Might. He believes that strength is the absolute measure of authority. Others would just as readily call him the God of Tyranny. It is not clear if he is Lawful Neutral or Lawful Evil. A few cults of savage orcs worship a Chaotic Evil aspect of him, but it is not recognized by his official church. His dominion is in Acheron.
Marduk
The Brilliant Lord
Province
Civilization, SocietyCleric Domains
Arcane, Order, Light, PeacePaladin Oaths
Devotion, Glory, Redemption Marduk is primarily viewed as the God of the Sun, but his elaborate ethos covers many aspects of mortal (especially human) life and morality. As such, he is also viewed as the God of Civilization. He is one of the most influential gods, particularly in human Lands. He is Lawful Good and dwells in Mount Celestia.
Natulandé
Matriarch of the Gods
Province
NatureCleric Domains
DomainsPaladin Oaths
Ancients Nature, Life, Peace, Tempest Natulandé is a primal deity, the personification of Nature. One of the few gods worshiped by Druids, Mother Nature, as she is also called, has been a part of the Old Faith since time immemorial. Natulandé abhors the Far Outside. She is True Neutral. It is unclear where her divine dominion is located.
Primus
The One and the Prime
Province
Mechana, Law and Order, ConstructsCleric Domains
Arcane, Forge, Knowledge, OrderPaladin Oaths

Rael
Ruby Lord
Province
DraelorCleric Domains
Arcane, Tempest, Trickery, TwilightPaladin Oaths
Vengeance Rael is a dark deity. Ostensibly the God of the draelor (ruby elves), Rael betrayed his Queen, Theléa and sought to become the king of the elven gods. He failed, but not before inflicting the Blood Curse on the stregoni and instigating the Elfwar. He is Neutral Evil.
Theléa
The Faerie Queen of Gems
Province
Drae, MagicCleric Domains
Arcane, Life, Twilight, NaturePaladin Oaths
Devotion, Ancients Theléa is the ultimate Goddess of the drae (elvenkind), particularly favoring the Diamond Elves. She promotes magic, the sanctity of life, and the balance of nature. She is Neutral Good and dwells in Arborea.
Thyris
Judge of the Dead
Province
Afterlife, Death, Hunting of UndeadCleric Domains
GravePaladin Oaths
Vengeance Thyris is the God of Death. He is the protector of souls, and responsible for the proper function of the cycle of life and death. He is an enemy of the undead, and his priests are the ones who perform funeral rites.
Tyr
Lord Justice
Province
JusticeCleric Domains
Knowledge, War, OrderPaladin Oaths
Devotion, Vengeance The God of Justice, Tyr is the Lawmaker of the gods. He is the second most popular human god after Marduk. His priests are often judges and keepers of the law. Tyran doctrine does not appreciate the darker aspects of Malthus’s ethos, but the two mesh in upholding of a Lawful Society. Tyr is Lawful Good and has a dominion on Mount Celestia, but is often found among his divine brethren in Asgard (who are generally not worshiped on Erdos).
