Corruptor
Slithering in the shadows is an off-white creature, pale and sickly. The figure smoothly moves into the light and rises up to their full height. They glare down at you with piercing blue eyes and they slowly raise their hand. Tendrils that were hidden behind them move towards you and, rising themselves, they are ready to strike.
With a flick of their wrist, white magic spirals out and strikes you in the chest, knocking you back. Immediately, you feel congestion in your chest and begin coughing. With little effort on their part, you're now sick with whatever disease they threw your way.
A step before a caster becomes a lich. They can infect other mages.

They defer to full liches when they meet, but they tend to avoid them so they aren't turned into a thrall and stunted in their pursuit of power.
