The Haerehel Rebellion

The short-lived rebellion by Fort Haerehel, which ended in under 2 months.

After feeling disrespected by Riyael for his lack of support, Yael Haerehel had planned a rebellion for some time. Riyael made it clear that the cities attached to both Feneyl and Haerehel forts were just extensions of those military bases, and were not subject to the same laws as other cities under Nim. that is, they could not freely claim independence.   For Uliyo Feneyl, this was no issue. Haerehel, on the other hand, let his ego get the best of him. After the completion of his city and allowing for some time to pass, Yael declared his independence. It took 3 weeks for word to reach Riyael, who was informed by Feneyl scouts. Riyael had zero tolerance for the situation, telling Fort Feneyl to send a force from the North, while he would attack from the West.   When Riyael and his platoons arrived, their entrance could be best phrased as "inconvenient." Most of the soldiers disliked Yael, as they only served him at the word of Riyael. The guards were mostly confused by the situation and threw their weapons down before opening the gate for Riyael and Uliyo's soldiers.   As this was occurring, Yael was grabbing his belongings and telling his family to follow suit. Much like the soldiers, his family was not inclined to follow him. They refused to come with him before he ran into the night, due West of the fort. When Riyael and Uliyo found his family, they openly stated where Yael had run. Archers followed Yael, killing him with arrows. This concluded the revolution, and Haerehel was reunited with Nim.
