The first instance of the Elves making deals with the Ithitar, in hopes of a connection to Melifi.
The elves, after many years of tribulation, saw no upturn in their society, regardless of expansion. While the elves were not a people to fall into raiding, they were hit the worst with blight and famine. The Western Elves were silent and Bourilia was barely able to cobble their society back together from the War of Eyiliv, and the folk that took to the highest mountain spires began to concern about their lack of resources. In their plight to survive, radical Elpyke ideology began to take over, and those that perceived themselves as possessing power turned to dark rituals in order to connect to a simpler past. Those that reached out to the dark found the voice of Fíkn Catar, who pledged to provide revelation to the great lord Melifi. It was by this bargain that they were given the power they desired but at the cost of dependence and the mark to bear their bargain. Legends say that it was from this deal that the dark elves and demon-touched people first grew. The brood of the bargain makers would carry these marks, with the worst among them growing the monstrous visage of horns and tails.
