Melifi (Mel-if-eye)

Melifi was one of the elvish deities birthed directly from Creation (Saaurithale). Born alongside Silse, Authile, and Guilime when the universe first took shape, Melifi was overcome with a desire to create beauty just as his siblings did. His role in the universe was to organize, lead, and teach. As his siblings gave rise to generations of creators that he was forced to stand by and teach, he grew resentful and jealous.
By the time Melifi confronted the spirit that bore him, Creation, it had already given its being in totality to the new spirits of his kin. With nowhere to turn, Melifi became a "great rain" that bore into his kin's spirits. The singular spirit of Melifi ceased to be after this event (called "The Ourithanur"), but drops of his being would continue to exist in every one of his kin, permanently tainting their creations with imperfection, malice, and envy. Elves believe this is believed to be the reason for strife in the world.
The only elvish gods that Melifi did not corrupt would be Silse, and any subsequent kin that she bore in the future.
