The awakening of the Kaban ocean deity, "Korahaman," in response to its people's slaughter by the Saltkrigere.

During their initial settlement in Trinen, the humans slaughtered mass portions of the Kaban during their hibernation, where they had been directly communing with their god, Korahaman. Potentially realizing that many of his people had been killed, the great tortoise rose from the sandy coasts. Kanel wrote that the beast was larger than his whole 5 ship fleet combined, and had a roar capable of leveling their new shelters. The creature had the aspect of an alligator snapping turtle, rattling frills along the neck, and mounds of coral growing up his armored shell. There was a deep green glow from his throat and eyes.   The beast destroyed half of their established territory. The tantrum likely killed many Kaban as well. After sending the humans fleeing, Korahaman drifted along the shore, guarding its home. The Kaban awoke and wandered in repetitious defensive patterns once their god incarnate settled.   The humans devised a plan to slay the creature, in which they would use the bow of the ships to force it upon the land. While risky, they had little choice. All of their resources were now destroyed or being guarded by the Kaban. Their ships were resilient though, and gave them the confidence they needed.   They waited for the right moment and proposed a distraction (knowingly a death sentence for whoever carried it out). They sent a soldier into their communal storage area, containing methane-filled swim-bladders of the Kaban they had killed (they had traditionally been using it as kindling or for spooking animals). Here, the man lit their stores ablaze, gaining the attention of both the Kaban and Korahaman. Much like when he first arose, the distraction caused Korahaman to rear for just a moment before their ships rammed the back of its legs. This quickly caused it to lose balance, falling upon the shore. Falling the distance of its own vast size dazed the creature, allowing the soldiers to swarm its frills and eyes.   Korahaman did not survive, and most of the damage likely came from the fall itself. Due to its sheer size, supporting its weight on land was difficult, and inhalation was impossible. After its death, the Kaban dropped their uniform positions and scattered, mostly making across the Scabbard Sea and eventually down to Mot D'nir.
