Governmental Trinen, Empire

The Augury is the empire that rules over all of Trinen and various colonies throughout Laminarum. They are ruled by three Augurs which are granted visions of the future by Chaimut and act accordingly.

Structure

The head of the government sits at Saint's Maar and rules over all of the mainland kingdoms, which in turn makes decisions for their own towns within the general guidelines of the capital. They have decent relations with the Snow-Rocks and Shellbay is a separatist kingdom with certain privileges. Augur's End and Goldwalk are both individual colonies under the empire within Mot D'nir. Another stretch of colonies rides the Eastern coast of Silse.

Culture

The entire empire wildly varies in culture, but the capital tends to stick strongly to its nordic roots, aside from the religion at the face of the empire.

History

The empire formed after Saint's Maar gained support from Caripreet and Fjordstrond, fought Eldergrund into submission, and gave Shellbay certain autonomies. Later, they would exercise their powers on Mot D'nir in an attempt to "civilize them," creating Augur's End and Goldwalk. While they empire would attempt to build roads in the marsh, they only ever completed one or two substantial paths before deeming continuation too costly and likely impossible without local support (Which they did not have). The last territory they have attempted to spread to is eastern Silse.   The darkest days of the Augury would come when the three Augurs were all killed in a largescale conspiracy organized by Arniel Kane and cultists of Kowl Mortor. The conflict resulting would go on for years before both the cultists were stopped in Trinen and Kane was stopped in Mot D'nir. Even though the Augur's had not forseen their replacements, they were eventually able to be replaced and the empire would return nearly to full strength.

Foreign Relations

The Trinen Empire has poor relations or history with most other groups aside from the Snow-Rocks. They have invaded Mot D'nir successfully, are actively trying to invade Silse, and were well known for stealing items of cultural significance from Kala and Roja.
