Dark Crop
The Dark Crop, also known as the "trees of Jurejun," "the capped trees," or "trees of Chal Churdour," is a species in direct conflict with the Quai. They hold great wood for ships, as it is waterproof and sturdy. From the caps above, spores flow down which can incite hallucinogenic symptoms in any who inhales them.
With regard to their Quai conflict, the trees are able to consume the areas which the Quai has assimilated, relieving the spread in the physical realm. The dark crop will grow quite extensively when consuming the Quai, growing as high as thirty feet in hours. While they have never been planted in the realm of the Quai, the results would be quite destructive.
Today, when certain political officials believe that the Quai has grown beyond its usefulness, they will make controlled use of Dark Crop spores to cut it back. This decreases the distances required to travel within the realm of the Quai.
The trees still grow freely in Jurejun and are highly controlled elsewhere, only being owned in small quantities by the Gidofem of particular Quai territories within the scope of the Kraken Mur.

Its roots will grow in the direction of nearby Quai. Where there is no Quai, they will creep towards the deceased.
