Zaera
The land of the County of Zaera is both beautiful and harsh. The forests, the hills, the rivers, all inspire those who see them during the warmer summer months, but those who live here through the winters realize that the beauty they saw in the summer, is now trying to kill them.
Settlements are few and far between, and the forests and hills between them are filled with monsters and mayhem. No one knows how the monsters survive the winter, but the raids do slow down a little during the harshest weather.
