Jodon

Jodon is the largest settlement of the Greater Shell Archipelago, located central in the Shareware Sea, and a colonial possession of the Nefadric Empire. The colony initially was relevant because of its spices and coffee, today it is a major trading hub and an important connection of the Nefadric Mainland and the Eastern Nefadric Empire.
Government
Because of Jodon's location and role both as resupply point and connection between the Nefadric Mainland and the Eastern Nefadric Empire, it is of extreme geopolitical and strategic value and hence Jodon, like the rest of the Shell Archipelago, has received special attention from the Nefadric Empire, such as extensive developmental support, subsidies, settlement incentives and being a nefadric colony of course also protection.
Defences
To protect trade and valuable assets, Jodon has quality defensive works of steadfast nefadric architecture. Among those a naval bulwark of multiple batteries armed with nefadric naval cannons. A citadel serves as a local fortification and enables Jodon to resist a siege should an invader land on the island.
Industry & Trade
Due to Jodon's central position within the Shareware Sea and natural harbor, it has become a major trading hub and important midway point between the Nefadric Mainland and other colonial possessions of the Nefadric Empire. Jodon sits perfectly at the intersection of the Nefadric Mainland and the Eastern Nefadric Empire, thus trade ships almost always resupply at Jodon.
However before the inception of the Eastern Empire, Jodon not only survived, but thrived on the export of exotic goods such as the sought after spice and coffee. With the growing food demand of Ubos even regular local fish became a profitable export good. Later shewareian deep fish, caught on the open ocean of the Shareware Sea, became a delicacy throughout the Nefadric Empire and thus a very profitable luxury trade good for its exclusive availability to islands within the Shareware Sea.
Infrastructure
The maritime infrastructure was built with trade in mind. Massive wooden wharves are built out into the lagoon, with smaller jetties coming off those to provide enough moorings for several merchant fleets vying to engage the dock space. Cargo can be unloaded and loaded efficiently by one of the many cranes that are dotted around the port. Throughout the city warehouses are never far, especially in the north of the port where the famous warehouse borough is located.
Guilds and Factions
Native Tortles
Before the arrival of nefadric colonists, primitive tribes of native tortles ruled the island, which have since been assimilated. Now tortles are often found working a variety of jobs within the harbor, creating traditional goods like shell jewelry or a warrior monastery.

Geography
Jodon is located on the northern most island of the Shell Archipelago which is at the center of the Sheware Sea.
Natural Resources
The island on which Jodon is located has supremely fertile soil due to volcanic activity, as well as access to neigh unlimited amounts of fish because of the Sheware Sea.
Jodon also produces a multitude of exotic goods, like the shells that are name giving to the archipelago. Shewareian deep fish, spices and coffee are also luxury goods exported by Jodon and are an essential stream of income. Less frequently, though nevertheless very profitably, tropical hard wood is traded and is turned into magnificent pieces of furniture or art at the hands of nefadric craftsmen and artisans.

The Nefadric Empire consistis of seven major kingdoms, three colonies and various island posessions ruled by the great emperor Naram Seluku. At [size] the Nefadric Empire is the largest country in Kreworis and with a population of [ammount] is the thrid most populous. The technological advancements of the Nefadric Empire have set it appart from the rest of the World. It's capital Aodios, is unrivaled in development and sophistication.
The population of the Nefadric Empire, the Nefadrim are exclusively faithful to the Jubixian Pantheon. Everyday life is heavily influenced by the martial society and traditions, but also by the wonderous technology and resonable grasp on [magic].
