Guardians of the North
The Guardians of the North are an adventuring party that formed in the early years of the Era of the Tyrant. The group was created after being gathered for a bounty-hunting contract had been posted for the Ebony Cross Bandit leaders. After finding two of the three leaders, the group was officially sponsored by a Lawbinder in the Quisaloran Tier of the Empire. This adventuring party is the current front-line unit in the defense of the Material Plane from the machinations of both the Gith and the Illithids.

History
The Heroes of Yarrin were formed unbeknownst that each member would stay together in a union that would stand in defense of the Material Plane against the horrors of the multiverse. Those who would become this group's main members were joined by a bounty offered by the Lawbinder of Quisalor, Chalun. The Bounty called for the arrest or the death of four bandits of the Ebony Cross. The bandit clan had attacked the village of Kellarn, killing most of the populace and burning the entire village to the ground. The Party was able to hunt down and arrest The Lover the Bard member of the group, and killed The Viper a Yuan-Ti leader.
Shortly after killing both members, the group came across an odd egg that was not of this world. The party befriended a Blackloack by the name of Auvrick, who was able to determine the egg was a Gith egg, and that the Illithids and Gith were both hunting for it.
The Heroes earned their namesake after dispatching a small Githyanki Incursion that occurred in the skies above Yarrin, a Githanki fortress had appeared atop the city and the Gith used Psionic enchantments to control the populace. The Party was captured, and then fought their way to freedom aboard the fortress, leaving its control to a small group of rogue Mind Flayers who sought to use the fortress as a vehicle to find safety.
