Korrisia

The World of Korrisia is a realm of mystery, magic, adventure, and darkness. Born of the two Twin Brother Creator Gods, whose love for life created all of the races known today, Elves, Humans, Dawi (Dwarves), Drow, Duergar, even the demons, devils, angels, and more. Eventually, the rivalry and and hatred of one brother led to the death of both, and the introduction of evil into the world. Where evil exists, there is also light to face it. When the world continued to become much more dangerous, brave and adventurous mortals began to rise up and face against it, bringing about the first heroes.   A land filled to the brim with castles, magic, knights, wizards, and kings, Korrisia is covered in ancient and powerful civilizations of the mortal races. Underneath its surface civilization flourishes further, where the races condemned to darkness roam. Endless cities of the Drow, impenetrable fortresses of the Duergar, and darker more sinister powers that don't wish to be found. Brave warriors wield swords that glow in the night and slice through metal with ease. Mages summon lightning from the skies that batter fortresses to pieces. Minstrels can sing songs that instill bravery in the most timid of individuals, pushing them to perform great feats of strength or bravery.   In its darkest moments, heroes have always rose to meet every challenge. Today, Korrisia lives in a time of fragile peace, the centuries-old kingdoms have been torn down and all corners of the world have been consumed by a now globe-spanning Empire ruled with a cruel and iron first by one simply known as The Overlord. Is this the peace Korrisia needs? Will the Overlord's cruelty and tyrannical reign be what leads Korrisia to final ruin?   Author's Note: Korrisia has experienced many centuries of adventures and events, as of the completion of the third Dungeons & Dragons campaign, this world will not be updated for the time being.
