Holy Ground Physical / Metaphysical Law in Kobos | World Anvil

Holy Ground

"Stand behind me, children. It can't enter holy ground and Penya is on her way."   ~Kessler Shieldreaper, mayor of Alcedene

Manifestation

While it looks little different, holy ground can be felt in the sense of safety and calm it brings. Life often flourishes there, and often seems like a garden or oasis.   All natural healing is increased doubled on holy ground, and healing spells are maximized and leave less visible scars.   Certain evil creatures (mainly undead and fiends) cannot enter holy ground.

Localization

Holy ground typically means a place that has been ritually consecrated. Temple grounds, graveyards, or even druid circles can be holy ground, as well as areas in the presence of holy relics or places of significant good events.   Examples of such events; The place where the Virgins sacrificed their lives for the greater good, the last rock on Kobos where a saint stood, the site of a heroic last stand, any location where a 9th level divine spell was cast for the good of all or to strike a blow against evil, the place a great evil was destroyed.
