Marvin the Marvelous

Marvin the Marvelous (real name Marvin Yagoda Wampus) is an 187 year old gnome tinkerer living in the City-State of Sirom best known for establishing Marvin's Mechanical Museum in 1938AP.
Educated in The University, Marvin worked as a Siromian engineer for over 60 years, particularly on maintaining and improving on some of the complicated machinery that maintains Sirom's Shield. After realizing he was dissatisfied in his work, he decided to pursue tinkering, toys, clockwork, and mechanical gadgets. This led him to create Marvin's Mechanical Museum. This would become a popular tourist spot and entertainment location for children, much to Marvin's delight.
In 1942, Marvin and his wife Fanny had their first only child Cattie Wampus, who would go on to be a prolific gnomish engineer at the University's Department of Magic and inventor of the pictobox.
For decades, Marvin has attempted to create autonomous humanoids (aka robots). One of his most well known creations on this front has been The Marionette Quintet a band of 5 robotic puppets that mechanically play instruments and perform songs at Rally Beer Hall. However he finally achieved true success in 1999AP with his 770th prototype, labelled 0770 but reffered to as "Otto." Otto was designed as a courier robot and joined the Courier's Guild, though generated controversy as it claimed it wanted to become a "mailman and public servant" and made deliveries for free. Much to his daughter's chagrin, he has not freely shared information about Otto's design and mechanics, claiming that is for Otto to reveal if he so wishes.
The success of this automoton has spurred other nations to attempt creating their own robots, to little success. Even the University does not have information on Otto's mechanics or schematics. Attempts to apprehend Otto (by Siromian forces or others) have proven unsuccessful, due to his speed.
