Gnome Woman
Professor Cattie Wampus is a faculty member in the Department of Magic specializing in the School of Conjuration, Abjuration, and magical scrolls and tablets. She is a gnome woman, aged 53, born 1942.
Professor Wampus is quite naturally skilled and clever, having discovered and documented a number of higher level spells on her own recently, making her a bit of a magical prodigy. But she is also quite disorganized and forgetful, considered by some to be difficult to work with despite her pleasent demeanor. She relies on members of her lab to keep her on track, and despite her eccentricities her lab is considered quite productive.
In her spare time, she enjoys tinkering with conventional gadgets and doo-dads. In 1989, Professor Wampus invented the first Pictobox in her spare time. While quite crude, the invention was revolutionary and has been improved upon by others since then.
She is the daughter of Marvin the Marvelous, a famous gnomish tinkerer in his own right. Much to her frustration, he refuses to provide her (or anyone) with detailed schematics on the design of 0770 aka Otto, an autonomous mailman robot he created in 1999AP, as he insists that information is for Otto to reveal.
