Giuliano Sorrano Becomes King

Giuliano Sorrano, after executing a bloody but successful coup, becomes ruler and self-declared king of the newly-ordained Kingdom of Sorrano.

Giuliano Sorrano, driven by outrage and a thirst for power, raises an army of those who love him and those who despise Lord Giles Bailey, who had ruled ruthlessly for nearly 10 years. Giuliano marches on the Capital City of Kord and, despite suffering heavy losses, makes his way to the Royal Palace where he meets Giles in one-on-one combat. Giuliano being the much more skilled combatant emerges victorious, having ridden Giles of his sword arm during the bout. Subsequently, Giles is hanged in a public execution in the middle of the Crimson Bowl to great applause. Immediately following the execution Giuliano declares himself king and establishes the Kingdom of Sorrano from that day forward, going so far as to also decree that the event is so meaningful that the calendar would begin anew, the beginning of his reign being considered year 0.
