It is the year 85. Paolo Sorrano is King of the Kingdom of Sorrano. He ascended to the throne following the death of his father, Horatio Sorrano. Paolo is the 4th Sorrano to become king, the previous 3 having ruled for almost exactly 22 years each, one of whom (Paolo's father, Horatio) reigned for just 2 days shy of 22 years. As such, having now ruled for over 21 years, King Paolo does not believe he is long for this world, and it has caused a sadness to creep over him. His enemies, especially in the Capital City of Kord, see this is a sign of weakness, and it may well be that his days as king will come to an end sooner than a natural death will befall him.
