Lady Mariah, more commonly known as The Black Rose, is the leader of the female empowerment organization knows as the Sisters. Mariah had been briefly married to a wealthy Lord of Kord who died suddenly under mysterious circumstances. Though she took his name at the time of their marriage, she prefers simply "Lady Mariah". The Black Rose, her nickname, is rarely ever spoken to her face, but she is aware that others call her that. She is so named for reasons that are obvious... She is sweet and beautiful, but there is unquestionably a much darker side to her about which only a very select few are aware. As leader of the Sisters she is suspected to be organizing all manner of illegal activities throughout the kingdom, though she currently makes her home in the Village of Easthallow.
